Colleen Villa is a fractional CMO and marketing leader who helps organizations get marketing right — when the stakes are high and there's no room for guesswork.

She brings 12+ years of senior marketing leadership across higher education, nonprofits, workforce development organizations, and growth-stage businesses — advising presidents, executive directors, and founders on brand positioning, growth strategy, and marketing that drives measurable outcomes.

​

What makes her different: she's led marketing inside complex, resource-constrained organizations where every dollar had to perform. She understands enrollment funnels, donor acquisition, program growth, and customer acquisition — and how to build the marketing infrastructure that scales.

​

Colleen has held marketing and communications roles — much of it as a senior leader — at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Washtenaw Community College, Ivy Tech Community College System, and the University of Olivet. She holds an MBA in Marketing from Western Michigan University and is based in Ypsilanti, Michigan — serving clients locally, regionally, and nationally.
